Luciano Benetton

Born in Treviso in 1935, Luciano Benetton created Benetton Group in 1965 alongside his siblings Giuliana, Gilberto and Carlo; today the Group is present in 120 countries across the world with over 5,000 stores.

He is Chairman of the Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche, created in 1987 upon the wishes of the Benetton family as testimony to the bond with their homeland – the Veneto region and the area of Treviso, in particular – contributing to the civil and cultural growth of the community.

A great traveller and lover of art, Luciano Benetton has firmly united these two passions in the non-profit Imago Mundi project, a contemporary art collection comprising thousands of works by established artists and emerging talents from different countries, each of whom have created an artwork whose only constraint is the 10×12 cm format.
